In Grindhouse - A prova di morte (2007), when Stuntman Mike realizes that Jungle Julia is the same girl that's on multiple billboards around town, Julia calls him "Zatoichi". Zatoichi is a samurai swordsman of legend that is blind, and was featured in dozens of Japanese films.
