In 2019, it was revealed that the voice of the Mysterious Woman was dubbed by Cate Blanchett. Abigail Good had a British accent she couldn't shake, and Kubrick wanted an American accent. After his death, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman suggested Blanchett, who was in England at the time. Ironically, Blanchett was not American either, although she did have an American father.
