Unlike the original films in which Michael Myers remains relatively clean despite the carnage, in this film Michael gets increasingly dirtier as the film progresses. In particular, Michael's hands became progressively more caked in dirt, blood and gore, which demonstrates his total lack of personal care and sole focus on killing. In addition to this, the lack of care concerning personal hygiene is a symptom of many mental health disorders and a clear indication of serious mental illness.
