Mongal dies in the fiery Corto Maltese helicopter crash on the beach. The Legacy Effects team built a burnt body to show the after-effects. Shane Mahan says, "Chris Swift and I put it into the actual wreckage and lit it on fire, it burned for like three hours straight and it just kept looking better and better, just kind of looking grosser and grosser. By the time the camera comes over, it's just hideous. It was just a hideous little moment."
