Throughout most of the series run, the penultimate (last but one) episode of each season is usually themed as a pastiche, or loving tribute to an iconic piece of popular culture. For example, in one season, it was a clear reference to cult Paramount series "The Brady Bunch", and in season 11 the reference was the Hammer Films' horror film genre. Often its blatant, and sometimes its subtle.
