At one point Rob Gretton (Toby Kebbell) tells Ian Curtis (Sam Riley): ... "it could be worse if you were the front man of The Fall" ... Sam Riley played the front man of The Fall in 24 Hours Party People (film where part of the plot is centered on Ian Curtis) although his scenes did not reach the final edition.
