In The Big Bang Theory: The Convention Conundrum (2014), James Earl Jones invites Sheldon and his friends to Comic-Con as his guests. In a much later episode, Leonard is angry that Sheldon spent an entire day with JEJ and didn't tell any of them, meaning he never told them about the chance to go to Comic-Con because it means he would have had to spend a night in Tijuana with the actor.
