There were early drafts of the script where the backstory of The Black Order was explored more. Ultimately, the story was getting too crowded, so it was removed. However, Proxima and Corvus were married in the comic books, and it is hinted at very slightly by pairing them up, and how she reacts to Corvus getting stabbed.
