The character of mob boss Sal Maroni in this show is portrayed by David Zayas. In the 2008 film Il cavaliere oscuro (2008), Maroni is played by Eric Roberts. Roberts and Zayas starred opposite each other as the main antagonists in the 2010 film I mercenari - The Expendables (2010).
