Django saying to Stephen "You right where you belong" on the balcony in the ending scene mirrors a similar moment in Quentin Tarantino's earlier movie Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) which following her bloody sword battle with the Crazy 88, The Bride (Uma Thurman) is seen standing on a balcony handrail which she tells Sophie Fatale (Julie Dreyfus) to not leave with the heavily wounded and decapitated Crazy 88 members and to stay right she is.
