Respectively both William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton's penultimate last stories as The Doctor are pirate stories. Doctor Who: The Smugglers: Episode 1 (1966) took place in 17th century Cornwall which The Doctor, Ben and Polly encounter pirates led by Captain Samuel Pike and in The Daily Show: Kevin Kline (2004), that story took place in outer space in the future which The Doctor, Jamie and Zoe are trapped on a space beacon which has been attacked by pirates led by Caven. Both stories are lost in the BBC archives.
