This film marks the return of composer Ryuichi Sakamoto to Western cinema. He is best known for his Academy Award-, Golden Globe- and Grammy Award-winning musical score for Bernardo Bertolucci's L'ultimo imperatore (1987). Sakamoto's last effort in a Hollywood production was Brian De Palma's Omicidio in diretta (1998).
