This is the only live action "Transformers" film that did not release the same year as a Marvel Cinematic Universe film (since that series began in 2008) or an "X-Men" film. However, this film, Transformers 4 - L'era dell'estinzione (2014), Transformers - L'ultimo cavaliere (2017) and Bumblebee (2018) released the same year as a "Spider-Man" film, respectively Spider-Man 3 (2007), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Il potere di Electro (2014), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Un nuovo universo (2018).
