In Henrik Vanger's (Christopher Plummer's) flashback, the day that Harriet (Moa Garpendal) disappeared is sunny. Later, when we see it again from her own perspective, it's rainy. That wasn't intentional; on the day they were set to film the additional scenes, it was raining. Fincher felt that that was better.
