Jane Horrocks, who voiced the spider, was best known for her portrayal of Bubble, the assistant to Edina Monsoon on the British series "Absolutely Fabulous." She used such a distinctive vocalization for the role that when she appeared as the polar opposite of her character in a dream sequence, viewers didn't recognize her because she spoke in a clipped upper class Home Counties accent.
