Another consideration Lisa Enos took when taking the main role is that she had no reservation about full nudity in acting, including the public crucifixion in the finale of the film. Although some other actresses expressed their interest in playing the role of Wendy Jones, Bernard Rose was worried that they would eventually back out of filming her death scene because it would require the actress to be fully nude for a prolonged duration in front of dozens of people.
