Renee Olstead and Courtney Halverson, under director Levan Gabriadze's instruction, watched dozens of recorded web chat videos between friends which resulted in arguments, in order to prepare for the Jess and Val argument over the tagged photos. Olstead and Halverson commented that they could not believe the lengths modern teenagers would go to argue online.
