Unlike Scully, Mulder's religion was never made explicit on the show, but in The Official Guide to the X-Files (published after the second season), David Duchovny said that he would "consider Mulder Jewish until told otherwise." There were several subsequent references to Mulder's possible Judaism, including bigots assuming he is Jewish in the episodes "Kaddish" and "Drive".
