In 1938, when Hughes approaches Katharine Hepburn, he asks her if she would like to play a round of golf. Fourteen years later, she would star in the sports comedy, Lui e lei (1952), in which she played an all-round athlete, including competing with the legendary female golfer Babe Didrikson.
