In Star Trek II - L'ira di Khan (1982), it is Spock in the antimatter chamber and while dying from radiation/antimatter poisoning, he says "Jim, I have been and always will be your friend." This time, Spock says the line as he knows that Captain Kirk is dying from the same cause.
