This film is the second of three consecutive movies directed by M. Night Shyamalan with one-word titles (Split (2016), this film, Old (2021)). In total, Shyamalan has directed five movies with one-word titles, including Unbreakable - Il predestinato (2000) and Signs (2002). He has also directed five movies with two-word titles (E venne il giorno (2008), The Village (2004), The Visit (2015), After Earth (2013) and Ad occhi aperti (1998)). Coincidentally, Shyamalan's biggest critical success and failure, The Sixth Sense - Il sesto senso (1999) and L'ultimo dominatore dell'aria (2010), respectively, both have three-word titles. Shyamalan has directed just one movie with four words in the title - Lady in the Water (2006).
