Llewyn Davis claims to be of Welsh ancestry, but "Llewyn" is not a Welsh name, and, if it were, it would not be pronounced as "Lewin", as in this film. Nor is it an abbreviation of a proper Welsh name, "Llewellyn". "Davies" is a common Welsh surname, but not when spelled without the 'e', as here.
