Dawn and Iris are the only main characters, aside from Ash, to battle a member of the Elite Four or a Champion: Dawn battled Lucian in Pokémon: Elite Four Goyo and Dohtakun! (2007) while Iris battled Cynthia in Pokémon: All for the Love of Meloetta! (2012).
