Joseph Cotten and Elke Sommer had been castmates the preceding year in the crime drama La trappola mortale (1965), and the two would co-star yet again six years after this film in the classic Mario Bava horror film Gli orrori del castello di Norimberga (1972), which was marketed in the US under the title "Baron Blood."
