As Veruca is being taken to the incinerator by the squirrels, Wonka reassures Mr. Salt by saying it is only lit on Tuesdays, to which Mike Teavee comments that "Today is Tuesday". The factory tour commenced on February 1, and that day in 2005 was a Tuesday.
