During the opening titles there are a number of references to earlier James Bond opening title sequences. These include 'Dr. No' (1962) (colored dots motif); 'Goldfinger' (1964) (Aston Martin DB5); 'Thunderball' (1965) (scuba diver swimming); 'Casino Royale' (2006) (card hearts being shot); 'GoldenEye' (1995) (guns and statues); 'Quantum of Solace' (2008) (woman rising out of sand); 'You Only Live Twice' (1967) (red sun rising); and 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (OHMSS) (1969) (hour-glass and Britannia symbolism). OHMSS (1969), which 'No Time to Die' (2021) extensively references, also had an opening titles sequence which referenced earlier Bond movies. And the bells tolling in the opening action sequence are a nod to the same in "Die Another Day" (2002), which had lots of prior Bond film Easter eggs throughout.
