Theatrically released in France in August 1990 under the title 'Full Contact', the release poster had Jean Claude Van Damme doing the splits across a railway track. There must have been a promotional photo-shoot in a railway yard as when the film was released in the UK the following month under the title 'A.W.O.L - Absent Without Leave' Van Damme is standing next to a railway carriage staring at the camera.
