When the film was announced in 2002 ; at first attempt ; the producer Vashu Bhagnani was signed :- Jackie Shroff , Akshay Kumar , Abhishek Bachchan , Tusshar Kapoor & Kareena Kapoor ; then in 2003 at second attempt ; the new producer Vicky Kumar was signed :- Sanjay Dutt , Ajay Devgan , Vivek Oberoi , Fardeen Khan & Aishwariya Rai ; then finally in 2004 at third attempt ; director Ahmed Khan himself was successfully signed :- Sunny Deol , Suniel Shetty , John Abraham , Sohail Khan & Nauheed Cyrusi in the starcast of the film.
