Three of the four anchormen from Anchorman - La leggenda di Ron Burgundy (2004) and Anchorman 2 - Fotti la notizia (2013) appeared at some point in this series. Steve Carell as Michael Scott, David Koechner as Todd Packer, and Will Ferrell as Deangelo Vickers. Ironically, the one who didn't appear, Paul Rudd, appeared on Parks and Recreation (2009), which was originally going to be a spin-off, but still had the mockumentry style this show had. Paul Rudd played Bobby Newport.
