Ron Howard and Henry Winkler still were playing Richie and Fonzie on ABC's The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang (1980) cartoon when they made this movie. As a matter of fact, Winkler also was playing the Fonz on Happy Days (1974), ABC's live action sitcom.
