David Dencik, who plays the scientist Valdo Obruchev, has some history with the spy film genre having previously played Toby Esterhase in John le Carré's La talpa (2011). He also appears as Colonel Stork in the mini-series remake of Len Deighton's Harry Palmer - Il caso Ipcress (2022).
