When the kids are driving through town chasing Muncher, a spirit that eats metal, Podcast says they are looking for "evidence". They see the following with bites taken out of them: stop sign, a garbage bin, and 2 garbage cans before they see it chewing on a fire hydrant. Podcast says it is a "free-floating metal muncher, definitely class five" much like Ray described a spirit in the first movie. He then says, "Let's get him" like Ray did about the library spirit in the first movie. He even wears the special eye goggles that Ray wore.
