The following installments would feature Trish drowned by Toshio, and Lacey drowned off-screen in The Grudge 2 (2006), Brenda drowned by Toshio in The Grudge 3 (2009), and Peter and Melinda in The Grudge (2020), the former off-screen and the latter by a possessed Fiona.
