Robert Carradine has a memorable guest starring role in the first season episode "Sleepless in Chicago," as a psych patient who pretends to be a doctor shadowing Dr. Green at County General, until he's caught at the end. Edwards and Carradine played best friends in Revenge of the Nerds and Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise. Incidentally, Edwards opted not to reprise his role in Revenge of the Nerds 3, as he was shooting the pilot for ER at the same time.
