The effect where The Flash runs into a room and displaces air causing the other character's hair to be moved in the wind is referred to by the cast and crew as "zooping".It is achieved by Grant Gustin walking into a room and making a sudden motion to imitate deceleration while an off camera air cannon is fired at the other members of the cast to blow their hair. The red lightning special effects and sound are added in post-production.
