Both of Roger Collins' marriages were to supernatural women. Laura Collins, Roger's first wife, was a phoenix and Cassandra Collins (Angelique in disguise), Roger's second wife, was a witch. Each woman was married to a Collins in different centuries: Laura to Jeremiah Collins in the 18th century and, later, Edward Collins in the 19th century; Angelique to Barnabas Collins, also in the 18th century. The two supernatual women would finally square off against one another during the 1897 storyline.
