In season two, episode eighteen, "Hollywood Babylon", while walking to Stage 9, Dean mentions wanting to take time off and go swimming, to which Sam responds "This seems like swimming pool weather to you, Dean? It's practically Canadian." This is a nod to the actual filming locations in the show, which are all in Canada.
