Anurag Kashyap and Tigmanshu Dhulia both had written a script titled "Sangam Mail" for Shaad Ali . This was back in 2003. The original script had a boy and a girl sitting and waiting at New Delhi railway station. The boy named Bunty spins a bunch of lies about himself to con the girl. Anurag Kashyap was beyond angry when Jhoom Barabar Jhoom was released. Many people were calling and texting him with abuses , asking him how he could write such a trash film. Anurag told everyone this was not the film he and Tigmanshu wrote for Shaad back in 2003. Anurag was angry that Tigmanshu was given credit/discredit as the script consultant. Anurag stated the film was a sad derivative of the original story he wrote for Shaad. Anurag added two films were made from the same script. Bunty's character from Bunty Aur Babli was from "Sangam Mail". Tigmanshu refused to comment on the topic saying Shaad was a freind since Dil Se and did'not want any negative feelings. But this was not the film he and Anurag wrote for Shaad.
