(at around 1 min) Kate sets down a figurine of astronomer Carl Sagan next to the book "Intelligent Life in the Universe", which Sagan had coauthored with Soviet astronomer Iosif Shklovsky, known for his work on existential risks to human life on earth. The satire and subtle digs in this film are neverending, as it portrays a LOT of unintelligent life.
