The three leading actors (Sylvester Stallone, Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson) would go on to appear in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films: Guardiani della Galassia Vol. 2 (2017), Black Panther (2018) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017), respectively. Writer/director Ryan Coogler also wrote and directed Black Panther.
