In Season 3, episode 1, Stranger Things: Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy? (2019), the song that plays when Billy enters the pool area is "Moving in Stereo" by the Cars, which is the same song that plays when Phoebe Cates emerges from the pool in the notorious scene in Fuori di testa (1982). She played the character of Linda Barrett. Later in the same episode, Dustin mentions that his long distance girlfriend is "hotter than Phoebe Cates."
