After Miguel Ãngel Silvestre announced he would leave the show after season 2, the producers decided to shoot two endings. One where his character died and another one where he lived and ran off with Cata. Due to the huge success of the show at the moment and not wanting to lose both leads, his death was the ending chosen and the show renewed for a third season.
