William Hurt played Leto Atreides in Dune - Il destino dell'universo (2000). In the documentary about the TV series, Hurt said that he was a fan of the book series and that he had originally wanted to be a part of this movie, but seeing what it turned out to be, he was happier not having had a role in it.
