It is well known that Apple loves to have their devices product-placed in TV series and movies but makes a point of only supporting it if "positive" characters are the ones using their products. In the frontman's office (a "negative" character) an Apple computer is prominently displayed during a scene. Being that " Squid Game "is a South Korean series, the home country of Samsung, this can only be construed as a tongue-in-cheek contra-reference.
