The fact that Hank Henshaw is African-American in the show, unlike the comics, as well the design of the cybernetic implants he has on his face, including the faceplate he wore over his cybernetic eye in the episode "Medusa" gives him a closer resemblance to Victor Stone, aka the superhero Cyborg, than his original comic book counterpart.
