As of February 2015, this show features three cast members who appeared in the Middle Earth films, John Rhys-Davies (Elven King Eventine Elessedil), and Manu Bennett (the Druid Allanon). Rhys-Davies played Gimli in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, while Bennett played Azog in The Hobbit trilogy. Jed Brophy (The Dagda Mor) played Nori in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) and Sharku/Snaga in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002).
