Sir Ian McKellen played Cogsworth, who is an animated character for most of this movie. Hattie Morahan played Agathe/Enchantress, a live-action character. Both appeared in La bussola d'oro (2007). In that movie, McKellen also had voiced an animated character (Iorek Byrnison) and Morahan played a live-action character (Sister Clara).
