The football match on the seashore is a spoof reference to Marrakech Express (1989), where a similar match is played in the Morocco desert. The stake for the old match is an exhaust pipe (relevant to the movie); in the new match the game's stake is the leg in the title, but the other post of that goal is an exhaust pipe.
