The escalator scene in the casino is a tribute to Rain Man - L'uomo della pioggia (1988). Alan and Phil have to win eighty thousand dollars in order to pay back Mr Chow. This was also the amount needed to win by Raymond and Charlie in Rain Man - L'uomo della pioggia (1988).
