In an interview with Empire, Daniel Radcliffe mentioned that he was approached by the Daniels, Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, to appear in the film, but due to scheduling conflicts, he turned it down. It would've been their second collaboration after Swiss Army Man - Un amico multiuso (2016). He stated that the Daniels, "are probably the only people in the world that I would say yes to doing a movie of theirs without even seeing the script."
